In the course of our efforts to "promote sustainability management," we have positioned "accelerating the digitization of business operations" and "implementing digital technology in sales" as one of our key issues (materiality).
Regarding "digitalization of business operations," we have been promoting the digitalization of business processes and paperless operations by combining cloud-based apps based on open core systems.
In addition, with regard to "implementing digital technology in the sales field," we are utilizing AI technology for promotion and marketing, and are also promoting the use of groupware for data analysis and as a means of cross-organizational communication.
Promoting digital transformation is not just a means to improve operational efficiency; it is also important for expanding human capital, and the entire company will continue to work on this in the future.

As digital technology evolves rapidly and the market environment changes, with e-commerce expanding its share as a sales channel in the apparel industry, proactively incorporating new digital technologies into all aspects of business, including planning, production, sales, logistics, and business management, will not only improve the productivity of the entire business process, but will also contribute to improved planning accuracy, greater efficiency throughout the supply chain, and stronger sustainability. We believe that these efforts will also lead to a dramatic improvement in our non-price competitiveness.

Our DX strategy revolves around three pillars: "integration of core systems and cloud services," "business process reform," and "digital service deployment."

We are promoting strategic collaboration with cloud services, focusing on our core systems. Through this initiative, we have achieved the following results.

  • Visualization of the supply chain: Centralized management of information from shipping to customs clearance greatly improves operational efficiency.
  • Cloud computing for customs clearance operations: Optimizing business processes by migrating customs clearance systems to the cloud.
  • Customs data linkage: Reducing processing time by quickly capturing import customs clearance information.
  • Data analysis platform construction: Establishing an analytical environment on the cloud and achieving advanced analysis using core system data.
  • Enhancing business decisions: Real-time visibility of important data supports fast and accurate decision making.

Business Process Reform

By introducing cloud-based workflow technology into our business processes, we are working to improve the efficiency of our operations and promote paperless operations to achieve working in ways that are not bound by time or place. We are also working to improve the speed of our operations by directly linking data with customs brokers and forwarders. In the future, we will also focus on strengthening data sharing with overseas contract factories and raw material suppliers to ensure traceability.

To promote DX, it is necessary for each employee to deepen their interest in digital technology and constantly maintain a desire to utilize digital technology to reform operations in their daily work.
To increase this awareness and skills, we are introducing an on-demand learning platform. In the future, we will set learning goals to encourage employees to take courses, and we will also increase the frequency of hands-on in-house seminars on topics such as how to use generative AI in sales, and how to analyze data and share information using no-code tools.

As cyber security measures, we have installed the latest EDRs and MDRs to provide 24/7 monitoring, and have established a system for backing up data and programs in the cloud. Regarding the response system in the event of an incident, the systems department will be in charge of the initial response, and a conference body will be set up. In order to ensure that we can make every effort to quickly identify the cause and restore operations, we have clarified escalation rules (reporting and command/order) and documented the collaboration system with major vendors, and we conduct regular on-site training.

As digitalization advances, the need for more advanced security measures is increasing. We will continue to respond to attacks and new cyber threats using AI technology. In addition, we will aim to obtain international security certifications and focus on further strengthening cloud security and training professional personnel.
