Art Gallery "Shina" Opening in the Ginza on June 11th (THU)

"Shina" is a new type of art gallery that fuses traditional crafts representing the beauty of Japan with modern Japanese subculture. While cherishing the past, present and future of Japanese traditional crafts, we plan on actively utilizing this art space to further nurture this country's diverse art forms.

Original creations incorporating ancient Japanese patterns, from Japanese traditional crafts to modern pop art and subculture, are all carefully selected to enable the visitor to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Japan that can only be experienced here at "Shina".

・Feature of "Shina" Ginza
The 1st floor is a space wrapped in the warmth of wood displaying traditional Japanese crafts created by artisans from different regions in Japan. The selection of lacquerware, pottery, glassware and bamboo crafts features the works of young artists who bear the future of Japanese crafts.
The 2nd floor is a futuristic white space that depicts the universe of Japanese subculture gaining worldwide popularity. In addition to figures, art and character goods selected by
a specialty buyer, original one-of-a-kind items fused with Japanese craftsmanship are offered as sneakers, souvenir jackets, bags and denim.
