Takihyo Co., Ltd. participated as a business partner in "Environment Day Nagoya 2019" sponsored by Nagoya City on September 14, 2019.
Our company organized workshops where visitors experienced a fun way to upcycle by using denim pants scheduled to be disposed along with sample swatches and accessory parts gathered from our suppliers to turn them into small pouches and earrings.
We introduced our involvement in sustainability by managing a booth of upcycled materials from Guatemala "THE NEW DENIM PROJECT" and participated in a talk session on the Fair Trade Stage with Mayor Kawamura.

・"Environment Day Nagoya" is an event that started in Nagoya City in 2000 participated by citizens, businesses and government to take concrete action for a better environment.

・"THE NEW DENIM PROJECT" was started by Iris Textile, a spinning company in Guatemala with its objective to develop sustainable fabrics to decrease the burden on earth. Our company has signed an agreement to distribute within Japan from 2018.
