Takihyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nishi Ward, Nagoya City; Representative Director, President and CEO: Kazuo Taki) will hold the \u201cArimatsu Shibori Workshop \u2013 Create a One-of-a-Kind Piece with Your Own Hands,\u201d the second of four co-creation events with Nagoya City and Sonoligo Inc. (Head office: Nakamura Ward, Nagoya; Representative Director and President: Kanji Toyama; hereinafter \u201cSonoligo\u201d), on Saturday, January 17th and Sunday, January 18th, 2026. This event is part of the \u201cCultural Experience Project for the Next Generation,\u201d an initiative promoted by Nagoya City and Sonoligo to provide children and students in Nagoya City with a variety of cultural experiences free of charge.
\nAt the first event held last October, children were seen happily holding their finished creations, and parents of the participants commented that \u201cThey were able to experience a culture they would not normally be exposed to,\u201d and \u201cIt was a good opportunity for them to learn about the joy of making things.\u201d Building on the lessons learned and positive feedback from the previous event, this second one will reach even more children to share the appeal of culture and hands-on creation.<\/p>\n

\u25a0 \u201cArimatsu Shibori Workshop \u2013 Create a One-of-a-Kind Piece with Your Own Hands\u201d Supported by Takihyo<\/strong>
\nWe will hold a workshop where participants can dye a placemat made of materials from our sustainable scheme, \u201cTHE NEW DENIM PROJECT\u24c7,\u201d using the Arimatsu shibori technique to create a one-of-a-kind keepsake. In addition to the workshop, we will also present a picture-story show (kamishibai, Part 1) and conduct guided tours (Parts 2 and 3) on the history and culture of Arimatsu, as initiatives to promote the succession of Nagoya\u2019s traditional crafts and to deepen understanding of the city\u2019s charm.<\/p>\n
