Takihyo Co., Ltd. has started fundraising for its antiviral "TShirt Masks" from August 31, 2020 (Mon) on the crowdfunding site "CAMPFIRE" operated by CAMPFIRE Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Kazuma Ieiri).

・Outline of "TShirt Mask" TShirt project
Due to the closing of commercial buildings because of the ever expanding spread of COVID-19, the apparel industry has been hard hit. Our company is not an exception. With the cancellation of a large scale event, our production of TShirts has stopped and the 6,000 meters of fabric needed to make 8,000 TShirts have nowhere to go. Some of our employees have gotten together to figure out the best way to utilize the fabric and have started the functional "TShirt Mask" project to realize their wish to create something that would be helpful during this "life with COVID"

・Features of the "TShirt Mask"
1.Long lasting antiviral treatment even after several washes
Treated to maintain cleanliness by reducing the viruses adhering to the fabric. The antiviral treatment is long lasting and can withstand several washes. In case of emergency, the TShirts may be cut to create facial masks.

2.Breast pocket to serve as mask case
As the material of the pocket is also treated to be antiviral, masks may be kept in the pocket while eating and drinking.

3."Material, Design & Silhouette" by a textile professional
As a textile professional which has produced merchandise for over 900 apparel manufacturers, specialty stores and chain stores, we have carefully thought out the best material, design and silhouette.
"Material"
The material is a high quality plain knit 100% cotton that is thick enough to be worn as a single layer. Tumble drying adds air to the fabric resulting in a soft touch and also prevents shrinking with wash.
"Design/Silhouette"
The perfect sizing to wear on its own, the opening of the neck, the fact that the shirt doesn't ride up when bending over are all carefully thought out features that allow the TShirt to be worn during different scenes from business to going out. The silhouettes are customized to fit the needs of men, women and kids.
